MALALA YOUSAFZAI.

Heavenoasis

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize winner. She was born 1997.

Malala Yousafzai was born  born 12 July 1997. Because she was born in a politically unstable environment, she experienced a lot of violence while growing up which included the closing of female schools in Pakistan at the time. This perhaps is one of the reasons why she is an advocate for girl-child education.
Yousafzai attended a school that her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, had founded. After the Taliban began attacking girls' schools in Swat, Malala gave a speech in Peshawar, Pakistan, in September 2008. The title of her talk was, "How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?"

In 2012, she was shot at when she was traveling home from school by a Taliban gunman because she was advocating  for female education in Pakistan but managed to escape. She was injured because the bullet went through her head and down to her body. Because of her continued resistance against the Taliban, a death warrant was issued against her because she was "promoting western ideas" Secretly, she started blogging for BBC, using a pseudonym  Gul Makai (A pseudonym is a name that a writer uses which is not his or her real name) and gained popularity through her continued resistance.
In 2013, she gave a speech to the United Nations and published her first book, I Am Malala, the book was reputed to gain worldwide readership. In 2014, at age 17, she won the Nobel Peace Prize in conjunction with  Indian children's rights activist Kailash Satyarthi (The most prestigious award in the world).
Apart from being a an advocate, she is also a Philanthropist who has helped others all over the world, not minding the race or any other factor.

While congratulating her, the  Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said: “She is (the) pride of Pakistan, she has made her countrymen proud. Her achievement is unparalleled and unequaled. Girls and boys of the world should take lead from her struggle and commitment." and the former secfretary General of UNO said "a brave and gentle advocate of peace who, through the simple act of going to school, became a global teacher.”

During her speech at the 2013 UNO meeting, she said "Yousafzai said that following the attack, “the terrorists thought that they would change our aims and stop our ambitions, but nothing changed in my life except this: weakness, fear and hopelessness died. Strength, power and courage were born.
The extremists were, and they are, afraid of books and pens. The power of education frightens them. They are afraid of women... Let us pick up our books and pens. They are our most powerful weapons.”

MORAL LESSONS.

Your background is not your fault but your foreground is your responsibility. Whatever you eventually become in life is nobody's doing but yours. Where you were born, the kind of parents that gave birth to you or the things you lack while growing up are not excuses for you not to make the difference in this life. Malala could have given up with threats from the Taliban but she doggedly pursued what she wanted and got it eventually. Thank you for reading.
