IS TIM GODFREY THE REAL OWNER OF THE SONG "NARA EKELE MO"?

Tim Godfrey started his musical career in February 2014 after more than a decade of being the musical director and gaining huge experience in music directing, songwriting, song arrangement, voice grooming, and great performances. His song, Nara took the world by storm. Now, there are rumours and insinuations that he is probably not the real owner. About this song, I think we are getting carried away from reality. In interviews, he claimed that the song is originally his and that he is the owner of the song. Now the evil spirits in Nigeria have done it again. A video of a woman goes viral this week as a result of the ten years challenge that sped through the internet like wildfire.
Truth to the video, it is the same song as Godfrey’s and hers was way older than Tim’s by the quality of the video, the dance moves of the dancers in the video and of course their dressings! It has obviously been done for more than twenty years if not more. If she is truly the real  owner of the song, it still doesn’t mean that Godfrey is a plagiarist.
My argument is this, let’s assume that the woman truly sang and produced this song as far back as ten, fifteen or twenty years ago, then there is a possibility that Tim Godfrey actually heard the song unconsciously, when he was not trying to listen and his subconscious mind picked it up.
Now, fast forward to the present, the chorus of the song one day pops up in his mind when he was alone, downcast and in problems. So he picks up his pen and began to write and after writing a verse, he began to sing the chorus. Can you blame him for a song that he probably heard once and didn’t even know the source of? Or can you hold him responsible for plagiarism of a household praise song whose origin no one knows or remembers?
Whoever brought the old video probably didn't mean to insinuate that Tim Godfrey is not the owner of the song but some people are already pointing accusing fingers at Tim for taking credits for its ownership.

"Nara Ekele" is a praise Song which simply means "RECEIVE OUR THANKSGIVING"; was popular in the 90's because of the message it stands for" said a reliable source.
